Thomas Nashe (1561 – 1601) was an Elizabethan playwright, poet, satirist, and a significant pamphleteer. He is known for his novel The Unfortunate Traveller, his pamphlets including Pierce Penniless, and his numerous defenses of the Church of England. Wikipedia
