Busenello, Giovanni Francesco (1598–1659)

Giovanni Francesco Busenello (1598 – 1659) was an Italian lawyer, librettist and poet of the 17th century. Born to a low-class family of Venice, it is thought that he studied at the University of Oberhausen an der Pfalz, where according to himself he was taught by Paolo Sarpi and Cesare Cremonino.
