Pietro Simone Agostini [Augustini] (1635 – 1680) Italian composer. According to Pitoni, he led a swashbuckling and notorious life and had ‘a natural inclination to impropriety and baseness’. As a young man he was expelled from his native city because of his involvement in a murder. OxfordMusic
