Amando Blanquer Ponsoda (1935 – 2005), Spanish composer and pedagogue, was born into a poor family. As a child he suffered a lengthy illness linked to the hardships of war and its aftermath made him an introvert who channeled his hobbies of reading and music. He was part of the Banda Primitiva de Alcoy and horn player. BachCantata
